
MZANBC Ministry Leader Role & Responsibilities
General Overview of Responsibilities:
Ministry Workers are volunteers, and much of a Ministry Leader’s work is the recruiting, training, and leading of this volunteer Ministry team. In addition, the Ministry Leader leads and/or collaborates with the Ministry team in the identification, planning and implementation of ministry activities in alignment with the MZANBC guidelines. MZANBC Ministries do not collect dues from Ministry team members. Leading volunteers is not the same as working with employees. Volunteers will do what they enjoy or are convicted to do, not necessarily what needs to be done. Personal contacts are more effective than public appeals. Building a support team is essential for long-term success. You will be working with a minority of the congregation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direction, oversight and support for the specific Ministry in alignment with the MZANBC Ministry Operations Handbook
- Lead and collaborate with Ministry Team to develop and maintain Ministry plans.
- Lead and collaborate with Ministry team in raising their annual support.
- Lead the annual Ministry planning process.
- Lead the annual Ministry budgeting process.
- Hold monthly Ministry Team meetings.
- Ensure adherence to the MZANBC Ministry Operations Handbook.
- Be present and encourage Ministry Workers to attend regular Sunday morning services, Bible Study services, Corporate Prayer and other activities of the church.
- Ensure Ministry Workers understand the MZANBC vision.
- Ensure Ministry Workers understand how the Ministry supports the MZANBC vision.
- Maintain Ministry Worker’s contact list.
- Ensure Ministry Workers receive necessary communication.
- Ensure training of new Ministry Workers on the MZANBC Ministry Guide.
- Support the Ministry in Sunday/Wednesday worship and other opportunities of service and worship as needed.
- Ensure Ministry Coordinator has your contact information.
- Support Ministry financially through tithes and offerings.
- Adherence to escalation, issue and concern management process as noted (settling of disputes):
- Engage the MZANBC Ministry Leader
- Engage Ministry Coordinator
- Engage the Senior Pastor
- Ensure all Ministry activities align with annual plans and budget previously submitted and approved by the MZANBC Ministry Coordinator.
MZANBC Ministry Worker Role & Responsibilities
General Overview of Responsibilities:
Ministry Workers are volunteers, and a majority of their work is to support the Ministry Leader in recruiting, training, and executing Ministry team objectives. In addition, the Ministry Worker are to support and/or collaborate with the Ministry Leader in the identification, planning and implementation of Ministry activities in alignment with the MZANBC Ministry Operations Handbook guidelines. Worker volunteers are not the same as working for an employer.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the specific Ministry in alignment with the MZANBC Ministry Operations Handbook.
- Collaborate and/or support the Ministry Leader in the development of annual Ministry plans.
- Collaborate and/or support the Ministry Leader in raising Ministry annual financial support.
- Collaborate and/or support the Ministry Leader in the annual Ministry planning process.
- Collaborate and/or support the Ministry Leader in the annual Ministry budgeting process.
- Attend monthly Ministry Team meetings.
- Ensure adherence to the MZANBC Ministry Operations Handbook.
- Be present and encourage Ministry Workers to attend Sunday morning services, Bible Study services, Corporate Prayer and other activities of the church.
- Understand MZANBC vision.
- Understand how the Ministry supports the MZANBC vision.
- Ensure Ministry Leader has your contact information.
- Support the training and recruitment of new Ministry Workers in alignment with the MZANBC Ministry Operations Handbook and specific Ministry responsibilities.
- Attend faithfully, all called meetings of the Ministry to which I have voluntarily joined, with a minimum commitment of one year.
- Ensure all Ministry activities align with annual plans and budget previously submitted and approved by the Ministry Leader.
- Support the Ministry through attendance of Sunday/Wednesday worship and other opportunities of service and worship as needed.
- Support ministry financially through tithes and offerings.
- Adherence to escalation, issue and concern management process (settling of disputes) as noted:
- Engage the MZANBC Ministry Leader
- Engage Ministry Coordinator
- Engage the Senior Pastor
- Attend faithfully; all called meetings of the Ministry which you voluntarily joined with a minimal commitment of 1 year.
